Nitrile, a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene, is an exceptional multi-purpose compound. It performs well in many types of environments and is generally resistant to fuels, oils, water and a multitude of other fluids. U.S. INDUSTRIAL FLUOROCARBON 75

Use of fluorocarbon rubber is preferred over nitrile when high operating temperatures and/or harsh chemical environments are encountered. It performs well in a variety of fuels, dilute acids and bases, as well as a diverse array of hydrocarbons. Fluorocarbon also has outstanding resistance to atmospheric ozone and oxidation.
